Scientists may dedicate years of their lives working on a research project, meticulously following the well-traveled path of asking questions, testing hypotheses, gathering data, and drawing conclusions. The end goal, of course, is to publish their findings in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, thus furthering knowledge and understanding of a given topic.

The Society applauds our scientist members who make such valiant efforts every day to advance the field of endocrinology.

That’s why we look forward each year to ENDO, where we spotlight the thousands of researchers who present abstracts in our Poster Hall and celebrate those scientists who present exceptional work. Each year at ENDO, we offer the following research awards:

  • C. Wayne Bardin, MD, International Travel Award
  • Eugenia Rosemberg Abstract Travel Award
  • Mara E. Lieberman Memorial Travel Grants
  • Outstanding Abstracts Award

The three travel awards have a deadline of Thursday, February 20, and we encourage all eligible Society members to consider applying. Learn more about them below:

C. Wayne Bardin, MD, International Travel Award provides a $3,000 travel grant for ENDO 2025 and complimentary meeting registration to in-training or junior faculty members who reside outside the United States. The award, created in honor of Dr. Wayne Bardin, is designed to promote research and global cooperation. Eligibility includes: An emphasis on candidates from countries with emerging economies.

Eugenia Rosemberg Abstract Travel Award provides a $1,000 travel grant for ENDO 2025 and complimentary meeting registration to junior faculty or early-career professionals who are within three years of completing a PhD or MD/PhD. The award, in honor of Eugenia Rosemberg, celebrates groundbreaking research presented by emerging leaders in the field. Eligibility includes: First and presenting authors who have been accepted to present their research during ENDO.

Mara E. Lieberman Memorial Travel Grant provides a $500 travel grant for ENDO 2025 and complimentary meeting registration to graduate students, in-training post-doctoral fellows (1st–4th year of fellowship), or new faculty (1st–2nd year of appointment). The travel grant, in honor of Mara E. Lieberman, celebrates women in research who submit outstanding abstracts. Eligibility includes: Women who are first and presenting authors on a submitted abstract.

Outstanding Abstracts Award provides $500 for U.S. winners and $750 for international winners, with awardees responsible for covering their own ENDO registration. The program is open to all graduate or medical students, in-training post-doctoral, internal medicine residents, clinical fellows, or new faculty who have been accepted to present their research during the annual meeting. Eligibility includes: Presenting authors. The submission period for this award closes on February 3.

These awards celebrate the best of endocrine science. We encourage all eligible members to apply. We also encourage all attendees of ENDO 2025, taking place July 12-15 in San Francisco, CA, to visit the ENDOExpo’s Poster Hall, where we will display roughly 2,600 abstracts.
