Dr. Brumund is a Head and Neck Surgical Oncologist at Moores Cancer Center at UCSD and an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is also the Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at the VA Medical Center in San Diego. A large part of his practice is the surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid disease, especially thyroid cancer, and the utilization of point of care ultrasound. He is heavily involved in the teaching of ultrasound courses and an active member of the AHNS, AAO-HNS, ATA, and ACS.
