Paul Hedrick, CPA joined the staff of the Endocrine Society in September 2010 as the Senior Director of Finance. After successfully leading the implementation of a new association management system and relocation of the Society's technical infrastructure to its new headquarters, Hedrick's title was expanded to Senior Director of Finance & Information Technology. His core responsibilities include accountability for the Finance and Information Technology operations; developing financial and operational direction, strategy and metrics tied to the strategy with CEO and leadership team; and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve organizational assets and report accurate financial results.
In the planning area, his responsibilities include monitoring the implementation of strategic plan initiatives and leading the operational budget and capital budget process. His reporting responsibilities include overseeing the issuance of financial information and reporting financial results to Council. He also manages external relationships with the Society's investment advisers and banks. Risk management responsibilities include understanding and monitoring legal issues involving the organization; constructing and monitoring a reliable internal control system; maintaining appropriate insurance coverage; and maintaining relationship with external auditors. Hedrick works with the Finance and Audit Committee, as well as the Investment Subcommittee. He earned his B.S. from Virginia Tech, his MBA from George Mason University and M.S. in information systems technology from The George Washington University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Certified Internal Auditor.
